Over this past weekend, we decided to take an impromptu trip to the 2024 Southern Home and Garden
Show at the Greenville Convention Center in Greenville, South Carolina. That decision has been one of the best decisions we could have ever made! As soon as we entered the parking lot, there was undeniable energy that remained our entire visit.
Homeowners Galore
Right off the bat, it was hard not to notice all of the homeowners at this event. The convention center was packed
with hundreds of people who wanted to get ideas of what to do with their individual home projects.
Everyone needed something different and unique, which is why there were businesses present that covered just about every topic you can think of, such as flooring, gardening, patios, lighting, and pools. Even Verizon had a booth, which you might
not expect at this type of event.
Impressive Exhibits
The booths that instantly grabbed our attention were from the landscape companies that went all out in demonstrating how quality their work is. From setting up miniature waterfalls to creating beautiful floral arrangements,
it was hard not to be impressed by their offerings. Without a doubt, the more memorable booths
to us were the small businesses that created incredible home accessories that cusomers had the ability to
purchase. For example, we met a great couple who created highly specialized bird houses that were incredibly impressive.
They had a Motown-inspired birdhouse in particular that had us floored! We also met a couple who
created yard appliances and items such as waterfalls and proprone grills made from country barrels. They had Tombstone-inspired wooden signs that contained memorable quotes from the movie, and we were able to connect and bond over our love of this film!
An Event to Remember
All in all, the Southern Home & Garden Show was an incredible experience. We networked and met some great people while connecting with the friendly people of Greenville. This event was well worth the price of admission, and we left feeling pumped and inspired to continue offering quality landscape and hardscape services to our customers. We truly had a great time, and we can’t wait to see you at the 2025 show!
